Description:
CCC Newsletter published by the men of Camp F—142 in Kalispell Bay on December 20th, 1934. The cover is a drawing of santa clause and says Merry Xmas. The newsletter is called Kalispell Breeze. Part of the newsletter mentions the building of the Luby Bay Ranger Station Cabin (the museum building) and says: "This project has been under way for several months. An excellent showing has been made on this project under the supervision of Kirk Kimbal, Mr. Messmore, the carpenter. The cabin is one of the finest to be seen anywhere. The logs are of White Pine; they have been planed and stained and varnished. The joints are carefully constructed and the cracks are chinked with an asphalt composition. The roof is covered with cedar shakes which gives it a rustic appearance. An excellent fireplace has been build with a stone chimney. The house has a part basement which has drainage to the lake. A garage also built of logs has been constructed, and has a concrete floor. At the present time the men are building the partitions in the house. Congratulations Kirk, Mr. Messmore, and the enrollees for the splendid work and craftsmanship show on this project — Charles Maxwell"
