Description:
Booklet written by Tracee Anderson about the development of Linger Longer Lodge by James "Bud" Thompson starting in the 1940's. Bud purchased the land from the Chester Helme homestead. In 1961 it was sold to the Pioneer Education Society in conjunction with the Society of Jesus and used for Jesuit training and a summer camp for catholic boys and Boy Scouts. In 1972 Jim and Kay Anderson bought Linger Longer, ran it as a resort for a few years and then started developing the condominium project. This included moving the old lodge closer to the water. Work that was performed by Craig Catlow who now has a residence in Kalispell Bay. After building the 45 condo's the Andersons developed Cougar Run which has individual one acre home sites with access to the lake through the Linger Longer property.
